MODEL MONDAY: DREW PARE

Have you ever had a picture stop you in your tracks because, all at once, it looked familiar yet new?  The face had a welcome comfort but you don't know the model. Today's choice had such a picture that I will save that special pic for the penultimate position as I celebrate...

DREW PARE

At a youthful 25 years old, Drew was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, which is the heart of Amish Country, which is home to the most beautiful farms in the United States. He played baseball at West Chester University in the town of the same name that is filled with gorgeous stone houses and history, and can be found about 30 minutes southwest of Philly.  Here's a perfectly adorable pic of him in his uniform for the...Rams.

BLUEEYESBLUEEYESBLUE EYES
West Chester is also the home of QVC, for you home shoppers. And if I were shopping for my home, I'd start with this...

Song for this week:  Elton John's Blue Eyes

Blue eyes, baby's got blue eyes...

Like a deep blue sea on a blue, blue day....

Blue eyes, baby's got blue eyes....

When the morning comes, I'll be far away, and I'll say...

Like a clear blue sky watching over me...

Baby's got blue eyes and I am home, I am home again.

SUITSMESUITSMESUITSME
You know a true beauty when he can make a suit look as if it should be worn at all times of the day.

So preppie he makes you long for the 80s!

Time to roll up the sleeves and get to work...

PORTFOLIOPORTFOLIOPORTFOLIO

And there are always those outfits that SOMEONE must have thought were editorial...
 They were wrong.

But even these can't destroy the beauty of our Drew!

No one who has ever worked on my car has ever looked like this.
No now who has ever worked on my car has ever MET anyone who looks like this.

CASUALCASUALCASUAL
T-shirts have hit a new vogue era and here are a few augmented by the handsome Drew...

Apropos of nothing except this picture, can anyone tell me why muffler scarves are $40? They're flat pieces of fabric, for goodness sakes!
Anything over $10 is paying for something that can't fulfill its promise!

SHIRTS ARE FOR SUCKERS

TRUNKS ARE FOR HOLDING
OUR TREASURES

JOCKS FOR JOCKS

THE BIGGEST HITS OF THE 80s!

Kate Bush-Running Up That Hill

Duran Duran--A View to a Kill

Bryan Adams--Cut's Like a Knife

Peter Gabriel--Sledgehammer

Swing Out Sister--no song in particular

It's easy to see why Drew looks so familiar. He shares that crisp, classic handsomeness of many hot stars, but mostly he looks like the love child of....

Rocketeer Billy Campbell....

Mixed with JAGster David James Elliot

And "pared" with Nashville star Charles Esten

He could play the son of any one of these men, which is possible since he has designs on acting.

Such emoting is wonderful, but let's not kid ourselves, here are the REAL reasons Drew should be a star in the movies....
Getting measured for his costume.

Running to the set, carrying his costume.

Everybody is Kung Fu fighting!

And finally, the picture that started it all...the picture that got my attention and made me wonder where this specimen of beauty came from.  I thought this was something from Dieux du Stade and was delighted (and surprised) to learn it was that of an American model.  Here is the quintessential
EYECONIC picture...

  1. My god! Spec(Pec)tacular find Derek :) Now that I see why you were looking for Billy Campbell, I agree with all 3 in your assessment.
    I'll add

"Blue eyes laughing in the sun
    Laughing in the rain
    Baby's got blue eyes
And I am home, and I am home again"
    If only!!!

As for the muffler question, you pay the extra $30 for the damn name sewn into it, that's all.

  2. Ah yes, I've known several beautiful, blue-blue-eyed men from Pennsylvania, and most had no clue HOW pretty they were! I thought it would be Pare as in the fruit, no hidden meaning intended, or even puh-RAY as in Michael Pare, but no! He has to make it like "Perry"...oh well, I can't complain! Thanks Derek--another wonderfully beautiful morsel of humanity to enjoy. I kept wondering who he looks like--then you mentioned it and yes, he could BE the son of David James Elliot, talk about your spit and image! LOVE the armored-suit-cum-underwear-only walking away shot!! Maybe that didn't come out the right way, lol...

  3. Do you know if he's still modeling now? All of his work is from 2010. I'm trying to contact him for a shoot and it's nearly impossible.

  4. I'm sorry, Michelle. I don't have any contact for him. Good luck and keep us posted if you get to work with him!
